You should pack;
- at least three warm tops
- at least three pairs of trousers
- casual clothes for the evening
- underwear (of course!)
- socks-plenty of warm, thick ones
- two pairs of training shoes, the older the better
- slippers or soft shoes for indoors
- gloves and hats
- wellies (useful but not essential)
- pyjamas (warm ones)
- swimming costume
- flask and juice container (essential)
- soap, toothbrush and towel
- plastic bags for wet clothes
- torch
- anorak or jacket
- a book or magazine
- packet lunch for the journey
Remember you need to be able to carry your own case.
