Almost the last day...

Last night we had a visit from Steve the African drummer. Emily S, Hugh, Iain, Ewan and Eilidh all had a fantastic time! Lots of teamwork and making loud music. Brandon and Oliver were two of the loudest.
Miss Gaffney went blading for the first time and made it half way up the slope. Sam, Sophie Z, Kirsty C and Alison were outstanding. Ms Waters took a video-You've been Framed eat your heart out!
The others went to see the Argyll Stone on the top of the mountain. Poppy and Pryde were great and made it to the top easily. Murdo, Kirsty H, Sophie C and Chloe enjoyed the day and had lots of fun. Well done everyone.
Ms Kelly has done three hillwalks this week!

Tonight it is the disco!

Wednesday again!

On Wednesday afternoon; Callum S, Callum, Brandon, Emily B and Nian all went snowboarding. They were great! Special mention for Aiden who is a natural boarder. Well done everyone!
Lots of groups went for an all day hillwalk; Josh and Shaun were super and led the way for part of the walk. Justine and Victoria kept Mr McKenna company at the back.
Miss Gaffney went up the hill too, Daniel was the best at Hide and Seek. Brodie was glad he came and tried all the challenges.
Ms Kelly climbed Chalamain and saw reindeer with her group. They scrambeled up the Chalamain Valley Pass, Robyn tried really hard and Khalid and Colm raced ahead. The final climb was steep and windy. Max, Alex, Kate and Rowan did very well.

More adventures at Lagganlia

Last night we all learned circus skills. Brendan learned he is a natural juggler and Clare S discovered how to keep her plate spinning! Oskar and Sonny were star plate spinners-they should put on a show in the Festival! Dominic tried really hard with the Devil sticks. We all discovered new talents.

Miss Kelly climbed Craig Bheag with Lauren G, Eliza and Selina. They were great leaders and read the map for the group. Then Sam, Ewan and Oliver led them to the cairn at the top of the hill where they sat to enjoy the view.

This morning, Robert was brilliant at Archery and worked hard for his team. Mim and Amy shot well and really got the hang of it. Ms Waters was cheering everyone on. The sun even came out.

Some others went for an off road cycle. Sophie Z, Kirsty C and Alison all tried really hard. It was great fun and very muddy.

Mrs Brown went for a gorge walk with one group. They walked in to the river and then the fun began! Ben always wanted to go first and was really up for the challenge. Caitlin and Sarah gave every slide a go-and everyone had an outdoor shower. At the final slide Mrs Brown had to swim across the plunge pool to rescue Oskar's boot which had floated off-luckily Oskar was no longer inside it!

Tuesday adventures

Tuesday at camp-the fun starts here!

A bright and mild day in the beautiful Cairngorms. We were all up and ready to go by 9am. Miss Gaffney went up the Gorge with Ishbel, Amalia and Tony. They were all well wrapped up in wet suits and had a nice cold shower in the hills, followed by a plunge in a freezing cold pool! Back to the centre for hot chocolate and a shower-great fun!

Ms Logan, was on the archery range with Lucy and Usman. There were high scores all round-except for Ms Logan who was not a skilled archer!

The cyclists went off road and Tom, Kai De Groome and Lottie were very skilled. Mr McKenna brought up the rear with Stephanie, Katie and Holly. Lots of mud was splashed about.

Ms Waters had a quiet walk in the woods with the problem solving group. Catriona, Erin De Groome and David were great at team work and were super group members.

Lars, Ines and Anna C were outstanding on the ski slope, skiing backward down the salom! Jenken and Martha came on really fast and were soon using the tow. Mrs Brown was the tow operator!

Steak pie and macaroni f0r tea tonight-followed by circus skills.

Here at last!

After a long and uneventful journey we arrived at Lagganlia. The sun was shining-well it wasn't actually raining.
We found out where we were all sleeping and met the instructors. Then we explored.

Some groups went down by the Feshie and some went for a long walk. A few were orienteering and some played problem solving games. After that it was tea and we all had Pasta Bolognese.

Tonight we are having a night walk in the woods. Great fun!

Roll on tomorrow, with lots of new adventures!

Only a few more sleeps and we will be there!

Maybe you could remind your mums and dads to send you a letter, and maybe you should pack a stamp and some paper to write to them?

Only two more weeks until we set off for Lagganlia. It might be quite chilly so make sure you pack lots of warm clothes! I will be taking my cosy pj's!

Great to see how much you are all looking forward to our trip.

Remember you need a packed lunch for the bus and a labelled water bottle too.

Clothing list-some do's and don'ts

You should pack;

at least three warm tops

at least three pairs of trousers

casual clothes for the evening

underwear (of course!)

socks-plenty of warm, thick ones

two pairs of training shoes, the older the better

slippers or soft shoes for indoors

gloves and hats

wellies (useful but not essential)

pyjamas (warm ones)

swimming costume

flask and juice container (essential)

soap, toothbrush and towel

plastic bags for wet clothes

torch

anorak or jacket

a book or magazine

packet lunch for the journey

Remember you need to be able to carry your own case.
